Kaylor was diagnosed with type I diabetes when she was 2 years old and her life has been shaped by the positive community and support she and her family received when she was growing up. Recognizing that not everyone has a positive relationship with their diabetes, Kaylor is on a mission to improve the diagnosis experience. By focusing less on numbers and more on the full picture of how diabetes impacts one's life, Kaylor can work with you on improving challenging family dynamics, increasing self compassion, and reducing emotional burden.
Kaylor worked at Bearskin Meadow Diabetes Camp and DYF for 10 years as a summer camp counselor, camp director, director of programs, and interim executive director before launching Diabetes Support Partners. She is a big believer in the power of community, support, and positive relationships between patients and healthcare providers.
